Bunga (not her real name) is a Balinese girl continually visited by our ministry team. She is selling food and drink on the dark street from 5pm-2am every night. Her customers are men who potentially seduce her. She is working under employment of a controlling boss. He lends money to her family plus charges interest in return of her employment. In response to her tough life, we as a team embrace her through friendship. Once a week we visit her. We sit with her and hear her story. Seeing her sadness, one female team member hugged her and whispered prayer believing that there is hope in this situation and the hope is found in Jesus. It’s been 2 years since she decided to accept Jesus as savior. “When I have problem, I pray,” she said. With the hope in her heart and prayer as her lifestyle, she dreams someday she could be released by her boss and work descent job in food stall.
